3.Lock ‘n’ Road: A Journey Across Europe During the Pandemic
Lock ‘n’ Road was one of the most ambitious projects of my career, and an experience I’ll never forget. It was born from an idea I had during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic—a time when the world was grappling with uncertainty, isolation, and change. My vision was to explore how the pandemic had reshaped lives, communities, and cities across Europe.
With a team of eight young individuals, we set off in a van to document Europe’s transformation during this unprecedented time. Empty streets, closed landmarks, and the stark reality of social distancing became our landscape. But amidst the challenges, we found stories of resilience and adaptation, told through the voices of locals and Greek expatriates from various professional and scientific fields.
The Journey
The series wasn’t just about capturing the external changes in Europe; it was also about documenting our personal journey. From unforeseen challenges and obstacles to moments of sheer beauty and unexpected joy, the experience was as much about our team as it was about the world around us.
We traveled to cities that were once bustling with life but had become eerily quiet during the lockdowns. Through interviews and firsthand accounts, we explored how people were adjusting to their new realities and finding ways to move forward.
