Behind the Scenes: Mia Kalinixta Music Video

Creating the music video for Mia Kalinixta was an exciting journey that brought me back into the world of music storytelling after a long hiatus. The song, performed by Xristos Tsoumanis with heartfelt lyrics by Pwlina, is a beautiful Greek ballad that captures emotion and connection.

A Family Collaboration

What made this project even more special was collaborating with my brother, Kirk. Working together added an extra layer of creativity and synergy to the shoot, making it a truly memorable experience.

The Shoot

We filmed the video with the Sony A7S III, which perfectly captured the song’s mood and tone. The camera’s dynamic range and low-light capabilities allowed us to play with soft lighting and intimate compositions, enhancing the emotional depth of the visuals.

Having not directed a music video in a while, this project felt like a fresh start and a reminder of how much I love this format. It was a chance to dive back into storytelling through music, blending cinematic visuals with the raw emotions of the song.
